Himeji Central Park

Remember the zoos and theme parks that you went to with your family when you were young? You can relive these memories at Himeji Central Park! This is a family resort which has both safari and a theme park that people of all ages can relish. A number of events are planned throughout the year and you’ll have a different experience every time you visit. Visitors can take enjoy a water park and fireworks in summer and ice skating in winter.

Himeji central park has the only safari park of its kind in the Kansai region, where visitors are able to view the animals in their natural environment. There is a drive-through safari that allows you to drive around the animal’s habitat. Then, there’s the walking safari that lets you meet the animals face to face. Finally, there’s the sky safari which takes you up in the sky to watch the wildlife from a ropeway. You won’t find any cages or signs in the park, due to the efforts to keep the park as close as possible to the animal’s natural habitat. This environment enables you to watch the animals roaming free, just as if they were in the wild. Visitors can also see rare animals such as white lions and white tigers in the park.

During the summer months, there is a display of 1,200 fireworks each weekend. Aquarea, a waterpark, with seven different pools and several slides will open on July 14th. It is surrounded by mountains and provides a breath of fresh air. Packed with fascinating nature and animals as well as rides, Himeji Central Park is the ideal place to enjoy your summer vacation!
